Public Procurements

 

The aim of public procurement legislation is to enhance the use of public funds, because open and equal promotion of competition increases the competitiveness of companies and gives them a better chance to offer products and services also to the public sector.

 

All public units have to arrange a competition when they procure something. They also need to treat all offerers equally. The best quality-price bargain or the cheapest offer has to be chosen.

 

Our lawyers advise our clients in all matters relating to public procurements. We assist, advise and train public procurement units to function according to the Procurements Act. We also represent the service providers in the Finnish Market Court in case of violations of procurement legislation.
