Main fields

 

Corporate law and M&As, contract and the law of damages, international trade as well as related trials and arbitration.Mr. Manner has long-term experience of national and international business acquisitions and the drafting of national and international business deals. The independent “International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers” has yearly nominated approximately ten attorneys from Finland. Mr. Manner has been one of them for several years and he has been the only one outside Helsinki.

 

Mr. Manner has been the president or member of several arbitration courts.

Prior to founding B&M, Mr. Manner worked as a judge and a presenter in the Town Court of Turku and the Turku Court of Appeal, and as a lawyer in a law firm, as an assistant in Turku Law School, as a bailiff and as a registrar.

 

Mr. Manner has been a member of the Board of the Finnish Bar Association since 1996, Vice President 1998-2001 and President 2001-2004.

 

His other trustee posts include membership in the Turku Chamber of Commerce law committee, Nordea Bank’s supervisor, member of the Finnish Lawyer Association’s legal-political committee, member of the board of the Turku Young Men’s Christian Association, honorary president of Turku Law School’s student association Lex and president of the board of Ruissalo Foundation. In addition he has been a member in the Lawyer Association’s Turku Division board, master of the Finnish Savings Bank of Turku, auditor of the Turku Labor Savings Bank and the legal advisor of the University of Turku Student Union. Mr. Manner is a member or president in several companies.

 

In addition Mr. Manner has published articles in legal publications, for example concerning targeted stock issues.
