All lawyers practicing law in Germany are required by law to comply with the professional rules of the Federal Lawyers' Act (Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung), the Professional Regulations (Berufsordnung), Specialising Regulations (Fachanwaltsordnung), Federal Lawyers' Fees Act (BRAGO), respectively for all mandates commencing on or after July 1st 2004, the Act on Lawyers' Fees (Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz), the Act on the Campaign against Money Laundering (Geldwäschebekämpfungsgesetz), the Professional Regulations of Lawyers practicing law in the European Union ("Berufsregeln der Rechtsanwälte in der Europäischen Gemeinschaft"), and the Act regulating the avtivities of European Lawyers in Germany (Gesetz über die Tätigkeit europäischer Rechtsanwälte in Deutschland).
